“Ugh! My family is so annoying all they do is yell at me. Even if I do something good they’ll find the littlest mistake.” Then my mom comes to my door she was banging on that door like a fighter pounding a boxing bag. “KNOCK KNOCK!” “OPEN UP MIKE!” She screamed. I just sat quietly. I was sick of them being so mean to me. I just tried to not care and see their reaction. That was the worst mistake of my life because my mom did something I thought she would never do. “You want to not open the door fine then stay there!” She said angrily. I hear nails the banging I thought she was loud enough to wake up the dead in the graveyard across town. I sprint to the door trying to open it, she locked from the outside. I start crying, the tears slowly come down my face knowing I’m stuck here. I cry “Why mom?, how could you do this to your own son?” My mom laughs and says “You're not my son. You’re a little s**t, a mistake.” That made me shocked and I fell to the ground

New York Becomes Reality It was a cold fall Monday in October. As Harper rode her bike home from school through a sea of orange and red trees, she could hear the leaves crunching beneath the wheels. On the way, she decided to stop and get a scoop of ice cream from the local ice cream shop. Harper usually went to get ice cream on Friday nights with her friends, but she felt like she needed something to refresh her before going home and doing a million pages of homework. Harper walked into the freezing cold, brightly colored ice cream shop and the man behind the counter smiled and cheerfully said “Hello, what can I get for you today?” “I’ll have a single scoop of mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone please,” she replied.
